LAUREN MITCHELLHead TrainerLauren began riding with Patty Foltz-McCarty at age seven. She rode English hunters, jumpers, dressage and saddle seat throughout her childhood at the national level. At 18, she began working professionally as an assistant starting young horses and showing on the circuit. She worked under Olympic level Eventing training, riding and coach, Brian and Lisa Sabo. Lauren founded Le Cheval Sport Horses in 2012 and moved to Peacock Hill Equestrian Center in 2015.
Lauren has coached her students to multiple championships on the A-Circuit, county level and at the Orange County Horse Show Association finals. |
PATTY FOLTZ-MCCARTYShow Coach | Riding InstructorPatty is a decorated equestrian with a huge range of accomplishments as a rider and trainer. Patty instructs clients of all ages and levels in English hunter, jumper and equitation disciplines, providing a fun, professional, and safe environment for children and adults to learn life-long horsemanship skills. Whether your goals are to successfully show hunters, jumpers or equitation, or to be a confident recreational rider, she can help you achieve it. She trains, buys and sells horses of all breeds, finding the right match for clients. Patty also judges county-level horse shows and has served on the board of directors for the Orange County Horse Shows Association.
Patty’s competitive honors include Foxfield Medal Finals Reserve Champion (1982), AHSA Amateur-Owner Zone X Champion (1983-1985), Santa Anita Invitational Jumping Festival Open Speed Champion (1987), Intermediate Jumper Champion at the Belgium International Horse Show (1990), International Hunter Futurity (1992), and numerous championships for her and her students at OCHSA championship shows throughout the 1990s and 2000s. |

JENN BISSETTStable Manager | GroomJenn began riding as an eight-year-old in a western saddle, jumped her first fence at the age of ten, and began competing in the sport of eventing at age 11. For over 34 years, she has owned, leased and loved OTTBs, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Half-Arabians, Warmbloods and unpapered gems. Since 1987, have ridden and trained with and spent several summers as a working student for Brian and Lisa Sabo. In recent years, spent time as a riding instructor at Sabo Eventing. Was a top-10 national and the number one California Junior Training USEA (United States Eventing Association) rider at age 16. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Working life before becoming a full-time groom: Motorsports professional (NASCAR, Sports Car and Off-Road Trucks), freelance writer, author and international business manager. Married since 2004 and have traveled in 30 countries and 34 States
